Welcome to America’s Best Prolotherapy and Musculoskeletal Medicine Workshops
Creating new and innovative ways to teach prolotherapy injection techniques.
The American Academy of Musculo-Skeletal Medicine offers the Prolotherapy Lecture Series, which are the premier courses to teach the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal pain and disability.
The Prolotherapy Lecture Series (PLS) emphasizes ligament anatomy, history taking, physical examination, palpation and injections on Sawbonesâ models with fluoroscopic confirmation of needle placement. The PLS courses are divided into three levels – Introductory, Intermediate and Advanced – for students with varying degrees of experience and needle-handling skills. The design of the course is for hands on participation. The different lecture series levels also offer in-depth study of joint groups requiring increasingly sophisticated physical examination, palpatory and needle placement skills. The appropriate use of proliferants from blood to platelet rich plasma (PRP) will be discussed in relationship to ligaments and tendons. This will give the participants the skills necessary to utilize prolotherapy safely and effectively in their practices.
The courses are orthopedic medicine, physiatrists, pain management, sports medicine, family practice, osteopathic manipulative and all physicians who are interested in expanding their practice.
The courses are based on the book, Principles of Prolotherapy.
